Crescent Capital Planning began in 2018 with a simple conviction: your financial decisions should align with your values and priorities — not someone else's product menu.
After more than two decades in financial services, I'd seen too much standardized, quota-driven advice that put the institution ahead of the client. Building something different meant an independent, fee-based fiduciary practice where the plan actually starts with the person. That conviction took root early, watching people I care about struggle financially — including through the 2008 downturn — not for lack of resources but for lack of a real plan. Making sure my clients never end up in that position has driven my work ever since.
Today, my clients are professionals nearing and enjoying retirement — from healthcare and technology to public service and business ownership — focused on making the most of what they've built. Most are here in the Bay Area, though I work with clients across the country. Much of that work centers on retirement income planning, including our Advanced Time Segmentation® approach, as well as investment management and protection strategies that keep a plan on track when life doesn't go as expected.
On the credentials side: Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Consultant® designation, with a B.S. in Business Administration (Finance emphasis) from San José State University and a Financial Planning certificate from UC Santa Cruz.
Outside the office, you'll usually find me traveling, in the gym, or deep in a self-improvement podcast I'll probably bring up in our next meeting.
